Cancellations and refunds
Photography and videography enquiries, booking agreements and your consumer rights.

Before booking
Enquiries are free and do not reserve a date. Before you commit, we must agree the service, date, location, total price, any deposit, payment dates, deliverables, delivery times, usage rights and cancellation terms in writing. There is no online checkout. No fixed deposit percentage, cancellation fee or delivery time is advertised here; these must be clear in your booking agreement.
Cancellation or rescheduling
Email bykgeo@gmail.com with your name, booking reference if available, and the service and date concerned. State whether you wish to cancel or request a new date. A rescheduling request depends on availability and agreement; it does not automatically change or cancel the booking.
Consumer cancellation rights
For consumer service contracts agreed at a distance or off business premises, a 14-day cancellation period generally runs from the day after the contract is made, subject to applicable rules and exceptions. A fixed photography date does not by itself exclude this right. Where it applies, you do not need to give a reason for cancelling.
Starting work during that period
If you expressly request work to start during the cancellation period, a lawful charge on cancellation may be due for the proportion of service supplied, provided the required information and request were given. The right is lost after full performance only where the required prior consent and acknowledgement were obtained. Any separate digital-content rules must be explained before supply. Accepting website terms is not a waiver.
Deposits and other cancellations
A deposit is not automatically non-refundable. Outside an applicable statutory cancellation right, any contractual charge must be fair and justified, taking account of losses, costs saved and replacement bookings. Your agreed booking terms and statutory rights determine what is refundable. No blanket “no refunds” rule applies.
Refunds and problems
Where a statutory cancellation refund is due for services, it will be made without undue delay and within the applicable 14-day deadline, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee. If I cannot provide the agreed service, I will contact you about the options. You do not have to accept a substitute or new date instead of any refund right you have. Your rights concerning reasonable care and skill and other statutory remedies remain unaffected. Contact bykgeo@gmail.com about a problem.
Optional cancellation message
You may email: “I give notice that I cancel my contract for [service / booking reference], agreed on [date]. My name is [name] and my address is [address]. Date: [today’s date].” Send it to bykgeo@gmail.com. This wording is optional; any clear cancellation statement is sufficient where the right applies. Add a signature only for a paper form. Your booking agreement must include the trader’s full contact details.
