bykgeo is an independent photography and videography business. For questions about your information, or to exercise your rights, email bykgeo@gmail.com.

Enquiries and bookings

The booking link opens your email app. When you send an enquiry, I receive your email address and the name, project details, preferred date, location, budget and other information you choose to share. I use this to reply and take steps at your request towards a booking, and to fulfil our contract if you book. Please only include information needed for your enquiry.

Member accounts

The website uses your username, authentication information and session information to provide the account features you request, including member stories. Authentication is handled through Supabase. Visitor accounts use an internal address derived from your username, not a contact email address. There is no visitor email password recovery. Keep your password safe. This processing supports the account service you request.

Ratings and security

Your collection score is stored against your account or a hashed browser identifier. A guest identifier is created when you submit a rating so the website can recognise your vote. It is not used here for advertising. Rating records and abuse-prevention counters support our legitimate interests in useful feedback and protecting the service. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. A hashed identifier is pseudonymous, not a guarantee of anonymity.

People in the portfolio

Photographs and films can show identifiable people. Booking and portfolio-use permissions should be agreed separately; an enquiry does not give permission to publish your image. Contact bykgeo@gmail.com with the relevant page or image if you have a concern about how you appear in the work.

Retention

Retention depends on the purpose of a record: handling an enquiry, providing and documenting a booking, maintaining an account or rating, and dealing with security, legal or accounting obligations. Cookie expiry does not erase server records. Email us to ask about a particular record or request deletion. Information needed to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims may need to be retained despite a deletion request.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase information, restrict its use, object to processing, or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email bykgeo@gmail.com. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity; do not send your password.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first.
